At the end of each month, we will be presenting some of the most notables Modern Funk releases, that you might have missed.

SAUCY LADY “DELIRIOUS” (STAR CREATURE UNIVERSAL VIBRATIONS)

Fresh new 6 tracks 12′ by Saucy Lady, continuing her streak of quality releases on Chicago’s Star Creature Universal Vibrations label. The song Delirious is featured on the last Voyage Funktastique‘s show, but make sure to check the entire project. Soul Amplified is also a great, and there’s a very nice rendition of Minnie Riperton’s Inside My Love.

XL MIDDLETON “WHERE YOU GET YOUR FUNK FROM” (MOFUNK RECORDS)

“This is the first single from my next album, still untitled at this point. It’s a shout out of sorts to those ‘bigger names’ who decided to borrow a slice of what we’re cooking up on the underground. As much as we appreciate the validation that comes from some of these folks using our blueprints, we also have to let it be known that we see you.” (XL Middleton)

Brand new single from DâM-FunK , via his independent imprint Glydezone Recordings. Classic D-F sound that we always appreciate, and with a reminiscing touch of the videos, in his studio, he used to post.

WE LOVE YOU ROGER VOL.2 – COMPILATION (NEON FINGER)

2nd Volume of the “We Love You Roger” compilation, with an abundance of talkbox veterans, such as B.Bravo, Mofak & Sholo Truth. After the success of the 1st Volume, Madrid’s Neon Finger label are delivering once again a superb project.

Another D-F release via Glydezone Recordings, earlier this month, with two terrific instrumentals, previously never officially released. We’re definitely big fans of these long jams, and we’re hoping it’s getting pressed on vinyl soon.

MOFAK “CHERRY ON THE TOP FEAT. SALLY GREEN”

Brand new single by Mofak, feat. Sally Green. As you would expect, it’s a perfect combination. Another one that we wish it will be on vinyl soon.
