Ourra

Ourra is a modern producer with an obsession for 80’s electronic Funk, Pop and New Wave music. Hailing from the UK and growing up through that influential period, real name Simon Tappenden draws heavily on the production styles and sounds from that era. In the studio, original 80’s guitars, synthesizers and drum machines combine with modern hardware and recording techniques to create fresh music for the future. Ourra has released singles, remixes, and a full artist LP predominantly on vinyl through Chicago’s Star Creature Universal Vibrations label, with multiple plays on worldwide BBC radio. 2021 looks set for many more contributions to the Modern Funk scene and beyond!
